experience Robotics Camp
Using the VEX IQ robotics platform and Robot C software, campers work in teams of 2-3 to construct and program robots to meet specific challenges. Campers learn about structural design using simple machines and sharpen their problem-solving skills. Within their groups, campers will build an autonomous robot to carry out assigned missions. For the majority of each day, campers will design, build and program a robot that will operate autonomously and via remote control to compete against other camp teams in competition.
Using the VEX IQ robotics platform and Robot C software, campers work individually with a robotic drive-train to program their robot to meet specific challenges. Campers will develop their programming skills to include autonomous movement of the robot as well as programming sensors to permit the robot to complete assigned tasks. Campers will bring their own personal laptops and we will download the software for campers to use. There are a limited number of laptops for campers to borrow on a first-come basis. This camp is for campers who have previously attended a robotics camp and would like to focus their learning on programming robots? Campers must have completed a prior session of "Exploring Robotics" Camp and have completed the 5th grade. High-school age campers and interested parents, grandparents, and other special adults are welcome to participate in this camp.
